Arts are a vital part of the Stevens Square-Loring Heights community. In addition to being situated between the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Walker Art Center, Stevens Square-Loring Heights is home to a large number of working artists. Among the many arts activities in the community are:
- Cinema and Civics, a free, outdoor film and music series for the community, held on Wednesday evenings in June and July in Stevens Square Park.
- Red Hot Art, the most cutting-edge community arts festival in the Twin Cities, featuring exclusively local visual artists showing and selling their work, public art installations, hands-on arts activities and eclectic performances of music, dance, film, puppetry and more.
- Art Squared, an annual fund raiser, combines the sales of art donated by local artists, live music, and live art creation to present an evening like no other. The 2011 installment will take place on Saturday, April 23rd from 7 to 11 pm at Stevens Square Center for the Arts. It will include a raffle of items donated by local businesses, as well as services donated by local professional artists. Refreshments will be served, including beer from local favorite Surly!
- Stevens Square Center for the Arts, a cooperative studio and gallery space located at 1905 3rd Avenue S.
