Stevens Square Police Substation Open House, April 18

Come out and meet your friendly neighborhood law enforcement staff!

Free food and beverages will be served -- burgers, hot dogs, vegetarian options, and more. Learn about neighborhood groups, events, and activities. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate.

We will elect a new committee co-chair to serve a two-year term. This is to fill the position currently held by Ken Strobel, who has to step down due to term limits. Laura Blue Bird's term lasts another year. See the agenda below for further details.

(Note: The election will take place as soon as the meeting's other business is completed, regardless of the time.)

Come and meet Matt Clark, the new University of Minnesota Police Chief! We will have an opportunity to thank Matt for his past service to the neighborhood as 5th Precinct commander and MPD Assistant Chief.

National Night Out in the Stevens Square - Loring Heights neighborhood -- everyone is invited!

Fall Clean Sweep - Saturday, October 10

Don't talk trash . . . pick it up!

SSCO's Fall Clean Sweep:

Saturday, October 10
10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Meet in Stevens Square Park, East 18th St & 2nd Ave.

We will work in teams to pick up trash and litter throughout the neighborhood. Trash bags and cloth gloves will be provided.

Compete for the PRIZE (Boiler Room Coffee gift card) for finding the most unusual piece of trash!
